Accepting an invitation to
perform at The International Children’s Festival at Klagenfurt,
TARTAN PRIDE flew to Munich, Germany in the summer of 1996.
The group, including fifteen dancers, pipers Jim McWilliams
and Bob Amiss, and Director Joan Murray, travelled as tourists
to Salzburg, Innsbruck, and through the “Green Hills of Tyrol”
before joining groups from China, Estonia, Italy, and Austria
for daily performances in Klagenfurt and the surrounding
towns. The finale was a visit to Vienna, “the most beautiful
city in the world” according to some members, for a
performance and intensive tourist activity. |
